In addition to the new API, Authentic Jobs now has an affiliate program! Authorized Authentic Jobs affiliates can add AJ listings to their site using a banner ad, Javascript include, or text link. Every time a new job is posted as a result of a referral link, affiliates earn $75 per full-time listing and $25 per freelance listing referral. The affiliate program can also be combined with the API. Awesome! Visit site »
Authentic Jobs now as a publicly-available API! I’ve been beta testing this for a while (it’s how I’m showing job related to the content of my blog entries on each entry’s page), and it works great. So, if you’ve got a clever idea for how you could repurpose the job, company, and geographic information at AJ, go register for a key and get to coding! Visit site »

Since I’ve been in Seattle, I’ve gotten pretty familiar with several members of the MSNBC.com team, and I can say with a great of confidence that these guys are super-smart and are definitely on the cutting edge of the online journalism world. Mediaphormedia, the company formerly known as World Online, is hiring a Senior Interaction Designer — basically, my old job. I can testify that this is a tremendous company to work for and that Lawrence, KS is a wonderful place to live and work. The town is cool, the bars are great, the music scene is phenomenal (maybe better than Seattle!) and the cost of living is insanely low. This is a great, great gig for someone out there. Feel free to e-mail me if you want more info on the company, the job, or Lawrence.
Also, on the name “Mediaphormedia” (I can say this, now that I’m not there anymore): It sucks. We know it. No one likes it. But there were intellectual property concerns over World Online (which was never a very good name, itself), and upper management (which is normally very “with it”) made a rash, hasty decision on a new name. Oh well. Still a damn cool place to work. They just got brand new offices, too. Visit site »
If I were jobless, I’d apply for this in a heartbeat. NYT is looking for someone to work from anywhere five days per week for four-six months. Incredible opportunity, this. Visit site »
