More minor refresh (entry page, two columns)

Maybe tonight, maybe this weekend. We’ll see.

Still plenty of things to tweak here, but you can get the idea…

It’s really nice, as it has been. I like your energy for making it better.

Nice! Like the new tweaks especially the two columns.

Looks good! But please tell me two columns is just an option.

It’s just one of several templates I’ve made. :)

Keith must think he is a designer or something ;) I dig the two columns and the new menu layout. Looks slick.

Heh. ;0) I just find two column layouts difficult to read on screen and almost impossible to scan. Not a fan at all, but hey, what do I know right? It does look very nice.

Nice realign Jeff. (are we still saying that?) I personally dig multiple columns and don’t find them terribly difficult to read. I would understand if there were pages and pages of content, but in the shorter entries 2 columns does well. Maybe I’ll get time soon to tackle my personal site….

Keith, I’m not totally convinced two column layouts work well on screen, myself. But, I wanted to try it and see what happens. That’s what the personal site is for, after all. :) David, thanks. And yes, I agree that the two column thing is best limited to shorter stories. :)

@Jeff - totally. I know I don’t *like* them and find them a jarring, but that could just be a personal pref. I’ve got no hard evidence to support their problems, if any, just a feeling and my own aversion. Maybe, if you go down that road, we should get a bunch of innocent bystanders and test it on ‘em. ;0) Also, it’s important to note that my problems come from actually trying to read two columns on screen, not any aesthetic preference. Layout and aesthetic-wise I totally dig it.
