Checking off the last of my first drafts!

I’ve still got a couple chapters to go through review and copy edit, but I finished Appendix A tonight, and that means all of my real writing is done! Just edits from here out. I’m now officially ahead of schedule on the book — and I think this is the first time in the entire process I’ve been able to say that. Woohoo!

Aside from brief timeouts to go see TSH at The Bottleneck and to watch my Chiefs win on the road, writing is pretty much all I did this weekend. I should finish the last of the edits this week and have this book mostly off my plate at that time. It’ll be nice to be able to veg out on the couch again.

For the record, Pro CSS Techniques is still set to be released on November 27th, but we are definitely pushing that deadline, so don’t be too shocked if it slips by a week or two…

Come Jeff, you’re not really “ahead”, so much as “caught up” ;) jk, it’s been a ton of work, and you’ve shouldered a lot of it.
