Greg Storey on the ripoff of the day, and the ripoff process in general. We designers really need to band together to do something about this — it is really hurting our industry. There are way too many hacks in this field, and we need to find a way to educate consumers of design so they don’t keep giving business to hacks instead of professionals.

As i think Greg’s article points to - the only thing that will truley educate the consumers is if people start to successfully sue for the theft of their designs. Sadly there are just too many people out there with that guy’s attitude.

Since the page for comments on the next link doesn’t seem to work at the moment, i’ll post this here. To be brief: it’s not them :). Greg Storey found the ‘designers’ of Faulkner and linked to them in an update of ‘Scab’. Personaly, i don’t care about webnetcreative but it’s just not right. They are not to blame. They did a design for Falkner, not Faulkner :). Cheers

What do you know? I was sort of wrong. Webnetcreative did a design for Falkner (there’s no Faulkner) Winnery. But it’s not the ripoff. It’s the previous design, most likely. Anyway, the poor bastards are completely innocent. Place the blame on these bastards.

You’re right, and that’s why I took the page down. :)

Thought so. But I comment very seldomly. I couldn’t let this one pass just because I had a hunch you were already on to it :).
