While the article itself is somewhat interesting, the title alone once again proves my theory that many of those in the accessibility community are incapable of discussing their field without turning into whiny little bitches and making matters personal. I tried to comment on Martin’s post, pointing out that it was one more example of accessibility discussions degenerating into personal attacks and name-calling, and he e-mailed me to tell me that he wouldn’t approve my comment because there’s “no trolling (allowed) on this blog.” Once they grow the hell up, maybe someone will start paying attention to them.

Hahaha, you really did it! ;-)

I appreciate your comment, and like I wrote in my email I agree with you that is distracts from the real issues. Now it’s too late to change it. Still I’d prefer not to have words like ‘bitch’ in the comments ‘“ ‘to hell with…’ was just a reference to the original article’s title, otherwise I wouldn’t have used it.

Besides I’d describe my main focus to be web standards, but with a strong interest in accessibility, because it’s a good QA tool and the right thing to do. I don’t know what’s ‘common’ in the accessibility community.

Martin, I didn’t realize it was my use of the word “bitch” that caused you not to approve the original message. I totally understand that.

For what it’s worth, I posted this after your first e-mail to me. After our second round of e-mails, I totally understood where you were coming from and definitely have no ill will towards you at all!
