I’m excited to have been asked to come and speak on web typography at Webmaster Jam Session in Dallas, September 21st and 22nd. I’d heard nothing but great things about last year’s event, so when J Cornelius (of CoffeeCup software, which puts on the event) asked me to be a part of the 2007 edition, I jumped on the chance.

The 2007 speaker lineup is impressive and varied, including my future Blue Flavor cronies Nick Finck and D. Keith Robinson, designers like Rob Weychert, Dan Rubin, Bryan Veloso, Garrett Dimon, Jason Beaird, Rob Jones, Stephen Anderson, and Ethan Marcotte, developer/designer Jonathan Snook, usability and accessibility gurus including Jared Spool and Derek Featherstone, evangelists such as Molly Holzschlag and Greg Rewis, and SEO experts Darrin Ward and John Fallon. The list of sessions looks great, and is apparently still growing.

Besides the great speakers and sessions, there will be a couple of kick-ass parties, including one thrown by Blue Flavor and Digital Web Magazine.

Registration for this event is really reasonable, too, starting at $199. If you register before July 15th, you can save $50 by just using the discount code “CLICKHAPPY.”

I hope to see plenty of you in Dallas this September!

Sounds like a cool conference. But I probably won’t be attending since my wife is due September 27th.

I really enjoyed this conference last year and will attend this year as well. With a couple parties thrown into the mix, this is starting to sound like a mini SXSWi.

Wish I was going…but Dallas is too far away for me right now. Hope it all goes well! :)

I will probably be there, it is only a 3 hour or so drive for me. I like how all of these conferences go to Dallas. Makes it easy for me to attend when I can find time off from work.

You did a really nice job with your presentation. My only suggestion is a slow it down a little. You had a lot of good stuff that I wanted to get down, but couldn’t keep up with you at times. Still, you did a really nice job.
