I’ll probably be at many of the same panels, and am looking forward to getting my butt kicked in bowling… ;)

When you’re in Texas, thats:
I dunno about y’all.
How are you going to be at the Holistic Web Design Panel and the Flickr party at the same time?
There’s a Austin on Rails happy hour party before the frog design party too, if you want to do the real party crawl on Saturday.

Not sur yet. i think my plan is probably to skip out of the panel a bit early and head to the Flickr bash a little late.

Yeah, but that would be sleeping with the enemy, wouldn’t it? Maybe I’ll crash that one wearing my Django t-shirt. :)

Haha, I forgot about that. Wait a minute, you have a django t-shirt?? Wow, ubergeek.
005 // Jeff Croft // 03.02.2006 // 5:56 PM
Well, it was free. :)

And, just to be clear…
…we don’t really consider Rails “the enemy.” More of a friendly rivalry, I guess. I think most of us Djanglers would call Rails the “next best thing”, and I think the Rails camp generally considers Django the “next best thing,” too. So, we’re all friends…
…mostly. ;)

See ya there :) - I’ll definitely be sitting in on a few of the same one’s you’re going to. ‘twill be lots of fun

Cool, I wasn’t sure if many folks would attend the Friday Night Mix. I’ll be there and at many of the same panels you list.
009 // Dustin Fluke // 03.03.2006 // 3:57 PM
I’d definitely be interested in the traditional design and new technology one and CSS problem solving. Oh- and Designing the next gen. of web apps. I’m definitely a little jealous, as this is something I’d definitely like to go to someday.
Are any of these sessions streamed or viewable online?
010 // Jeff Croft // 03.03.2006 // 4:01 PM
Dustin…
I don’t think so. I imagine many of the presenters will put their materials (slides, etc.) online after the events, though. perhaps there will even be some podcasts made…
011 // Dustin Fluke // 03.03.2006 // 4:03 PM
That’s what I’m more or less looking for. I’ll just keep an eye on those who are presenting to see. PodCasts would be awesome. Looking forward to it.
012 // Nathan Smith // 03.03.2006 // 4:04 PM
I’m looking foward to schooling you in bowling!
013 // JAbbott // 03.03.2006 // 4:15 PM
I forgot to mention one session I plan to attend that isn’t listed with the Interactive panels: Conversation with Henry Rollins. It is a joint session open to registrants of both SXSW Interactive and SXSW Film. He is to discuss “his feelings on the current state of the media, pop culture, politics, education, and all the ties that bind them.” It isn’t exactly web related but it should be cool.
014 // Ryan Berg // 03.04.2006 // 1:44 AM
After seeing that list of sessions, I’m more jealous than ever of those who will be attending. SXSW appears to be a very enriching experience.
