Tonight Dustin (who recently got his personal site up and running) came over and helped me build a full-size, folding-leg Texas Hold ‘Em poker table. I’m not particularly handy, but I really wanted to put one together, so I used good ol’ pizza and beer to bribe the much more crafty Dustin into helping me out. To be honest, Dustin did most of the hard work. I ironed and did other similarly girly tasks.
We used instructions we got from Patrick Danko, another of my buddies who also recently put together a table. Let me know if there’s any interest, and I’ll be happy to post the instructions here. For those that are curious, one of these can be built for well under $150.
The KPC crew will give the table it’s inaugural run on Saturday. Until then, enjoy the photos!

The table is a piece of finish grade, 3/4” plywood, attached to a regular office-type folding table. Here the wood has been cut and is ready for upholstery.

Here, Dustin cuts the foam padding.

Here’s me, proudly standing next to my new Hold ‘Em table!

For the sake of comparison, this is Patrick’s table that he built a month or so ago. Notice he went with a green patterned fabric, whereas I choose a velvety red material. The construction of the two is nearly identical.
