Today I discovered a site selling what appears to be a very nice 10-12 Player Hold ‘Em Table. Check it out:
Look at that beautiful red table! It looks great! I think it looks as great as my table. Maybe that’s because it is my table.
These guys used my photo, taken in my garage, with my camera, of my table, with my chips, and without my permission. One would think a company selling their own tables would at least have photos of their own tables.
I’ve written them asking for an explanation. We’ll see what happens.
Update: The SourceForPoker staff wrote me and apologized, saying they’d remove the photo right away. They said they hadn’t been able to take photos of their own products yet, and mine looked very similar to what they were offering. Thanks for them for being stand-up about it and admitting their mistake. I told them if they wanted to use the photo until they had they’re own, that would be fine with me. I just want people to ask first, I guess.

This will only stop once people realize that Google Images is not a free, all-you-can-eat version of a stock photography site.

When someone steals photos from my site, I get them back. The best way is to let them run it for some time (unless it is really hurting bandwidth). Then, change the photo name for your site and switch the old photo filename with a disgusting gay porn picture. He will wake up one morning to a nice suprise.
